About
I’m so glad that you are here. Please grab a cup of tea (or whatever it is you enjoy most) and let’s get to know each other.
I’m Christian, wife, mother, writer, veteran homeschooling mum and barrister (non-practicing) and we live in the UK.
I homeschooled my daughters from 1st to 12th grade. Both graduated our homeschool and attended British universities having gained American SAT school leavers qualifications.
I write for the website Homeschool Nature Study where I host the Outdoor Hour Challenge, write about homeschooling high school and the Charlotte Mason method of learning. I love my home and making it a safe and welcoming space for my family and all who visit.
Older women are to teach the young women to love their husbands and children. 5 They are to teach them to think before they act, to be pure, to be workers at home, to be kind, and to obey their own husbands. In this way, the Word of God is honored. 6 Also teach young men to be wise.
– Titus 2: 4-6
I am blessed beyond measure to see my adult children thriving and to be celebrating 27 wonderful years of marriage this year. We have built our home, marriage and raised our children with Christ as our foundation. Without Him we would not have weathered the storms of life.
I believe that as an older woman, God is calling me to be that Titus 2 woman and so dear one, here at Building A Household of faith I strive to provide you, with the encouragement you need to grow in your faith and continue on the path God has called you to as a mother, wife, homeschooler and home maker.
If you need encouragement and support in navigating the high school years in your own homeschool, or you are wondering if there is an alternative to British A-levels that will still give your children the option of attending British universities, then you are in the right place! I will share our experience on navigating this path whilst still maintaining the integrity and learning style of our homeschooling days.
Building A Household of Faith is a family blog dedicated to nurturing strong, faith-filled families. I believe that by embracing our Christian values and supporting one another, we can create households that are rooted in Christ and where love, joy and purpose thrive. I pray that as you visit me here you will be encouraged to place you faith, heart, marraige, children and home firmly in our Lord Jesus Christ. May you be blessed beyond measure!
