The Creative Home: Late Spring Yarn Along

Today I have finally got my act together enough to join Ginny for this weeks Yarn Along

About to come off the needles is the 2nd of a pair of socks. I am sure that I have shared here before that I really struggle with sock number two and it can be months before a complete pair comes together lol. However – I am inspired by some of the lovely sock patterns on Ravelry so I have made a considerable effort to work through 2nd sock syndrome so that I can find a new and fun pattern to get stuck into.

I am reading ‘The Cornish Coast Murder’ by John Bude. This is a British Library Crime Classic. I am really enjoying the read so far. I have not read far enough to share too much with you, but I am a fan of a good ‘who dunnit’ and this is fitting the bill at the moment.

Today the postie dropped off a yarn order than I made a few days ago. In anticipation of finishing my 2nd sock, I poured through Ravelry’s patterns and ear marked a few that have caught my attention – mostly from various knitters that join in Ginny’s weekly Yarn along.

This 4ply brown Alpaca mix from Drops is destined to become a pair of Knotty Gloves.

The grey 4ply – also Drops Alpaca mix shall be knitted up into a pair of fingerless gloves.

I bought one more ball of Drops Lima Rust so that I can knit up a Hinagiku Hat to go with my Stockholm cowl that I knitted last autumn.

I have no idea what I am going to do with this ball of Cascade – but I fell in love with the colour so added it to my stash :o)

Finally, This lovely tweedy green yarn from Drops is earmarked for the Cable Rouge beret.

Today is cool and blustery in my part of England, so the perfect day to sit down with a cuppa tea, yarn and needles after school lessons are done ;o)

Have a super Wednesday.
