Blessed!

Today is my birthday, I am 41 and loving every minute of my 40’s! As you can see I’m not one to hide my age, I am who I am 🙂

I was blessed by my beautiful bloggy friend, Michelle, with this lovely birthday gift. It’s all the ‘ingredients’ I need to knit up a warm and snugly shawl for this winter and a cute little crochet rose broach which will look great on my winter coat.

My beautiful girls added to my planner stash – pretty pens and various things, and my darling husband gave me a ‘grown-up’ camera lol. When our girls were very small I used to do quite a bit of photography work – portraits that sort of thing. However my cameras were all the old film loading ones which is just almost obsolete. So for years I have used a simple point and shoot camera, but really, it has proved to be frustrating at times as I have not been able to get the shots I want at times. So I was thrilled to unwrap a lovely camera this morning. Thank you honey 🙂

Scotland 2011

Another exciting thing coming up is that we off to Scotland on Sunday for a holiday. We have hired a boat in Inverness and will travel along the lochs of the Great Glen. This is simply our most favourite place to visit and will be our second trip to the Highlands since our arrival in England over 4 years ago. 

I’m sure I will have loads of fabulous pictures to show you on our return. If you are living in the UK or planning a trip to the UK I can highly recommend this holiday. Check it out 🙂

I’ll wrap up this post here, I have some really cute little femo-clay bits and pieces to show you. A few I commissioned from a friends daughter and my own daughter has made a few of the most adorable little things that I have made into paperclips etc for my various planners. But enough about that for now – see you soon 🙂

    Happy Belated Birthday…May is a wonderful month to celebrate ones birth. I came into this world on May 1, 1941..And I have love my 40's, 50's 60's and now my 70's,,,,life just gets better. Hope this is a wonderful year for you.
