Through My Window

One thing about living in a house overlooking the sea is that the view is ever changing. 

Today lessons were briefly interrupted as we watched rain approach us over the ocean. I took up the binoculars and saw that behind this sheet of rain a naval boat was sailing in full sunshine.

I find it fascinating how you can watch the rain falling in the distance in great sheets from the sky and be perfectly dry where you are. Its intrigued me since I was a child. It looks totally different from a distance to when you are directly underneath it.

Later in the afternoon I was chatting to my sister-in-law and got totally distracted by the sky scape!

The clouds and the light were just amazing!
